The Erasmus Mundus programme of the European Commission is a cooperation and mobility programme in the field of higher education that aims to enhance the quality of European higher education and to promote dialogue and understanding between people and cultures through cooperation with Third-Countries. It support three main themes of action of which the second one aim at the "Set-up of inter-institutional cooperation partnerships between universities from Europe and targeted Third-countries".
The EMMAE14 (Erasmus Mundus Mobility with Asia-E14) project, in which Thang Long University is a partner institution, falls under the Action 2 of the Erasmus Mundus 2009-2013 framework program and is coordonated by the University of Nice (France) and the University of Danang (Vietnam). It is an exchange programme for students and staff between 7 european and 10 asian universities.
The kick-off meeting has been held in Danang in October 2013 and has elected the Board of Directors (BoD) which is responsible for the final candidate selection. Target candidates are undergraduate, master and PhD students, Post-doctorants and staff from european and asian partner institutions.
The grantees are and will be selected in three cohorts, respectively in November-December 2013, December 2014 and December 2015. The website of the EMMAE14 project can be consulted at the address http://emmasia.udn.vn/
