On November 19th, 2018, the MOU singing ceremony between Thang Long University and Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TARUC), Malaysia was held solemnly at Meeting Room, Library building, Thang Long University.

Attending the ceremony, from TARUC, there were Prof. IR. Dr. Lee Sze Wei, President of TARUC; Associate Professor Say Sok Kwan, Vice President of Administration and Internationalisation: Asscociate Professor; Wong Hwa Kiong, Dean of Faculty off Accountancy, Finance and Business. From Thang Long University, there were Dr. Phan Huy Phu, Rector of Thang Long University and Dr. Le Thanh Binh, Director of International Relations Office.

Tunku Abdul Rahman University College is a non-profit, private university college in Malaysia. Named after the country's first prime minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman, the school was founded in 1969 as Tunku Abdul Rahman College (or TAR College) by the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA). In 2013, it became a university college. TARUC is the only ACCA Platinum Approved Learning Partner institution in the world to be accorded the special privilege to run the Internally Assessed Programme for the 9 Fundamentals papers.

At the ceremony, TARUC and TLU wanted to focus on the accounting programme. Dr. Phan Huy Phu – The Rector said this would be great opportunity for accounting students. Especially they can get the ACCA Certificate after they graduated the programme. The plan that two universities were discussing is 2+2, two years at TLU and two years at TARUC.

Prof. IR. Dr. Lee Sze Wei hoped that from this ceremony, Thang Long University and Tunku Abdul Rahman University College would have a great partnership in the future.
