The Academic Affairs Department has specific functions and duties:
Functions
The Academic Affairs Department has the function of advising and assisting the Rector in performing tasks related to:
- Developing a university-level training plan.
- Developing regulations and documents for training organization and management.
- Organizing and managing teaching, learning, and graduation activities.
- Developing objectives and orientations for the development of training qualifications and modes, industry structure, educational and training programs, and resources for training.
- Developing annual enrollment plans and schemes.
Duties
- Develop an undergraduate training plan; review and update the "Regulations on full-time training mode according to the credit system" for each academic year.
- Organize and manage teaching, learning, and graduation activities:
- Coordinate with the Faculties and Departments to make a timetable for each semester, organize school registration, arrange classes for students, and arrange make-up teaching schedules for lecturers;
- Arrange exam schedule and process exam data;
- Organize the consideration and issuance of diplomas and transcripts for students. Manage the original academic transcript of students.
- Develop objectives and orientations for the development of training qualifications and modes, industry structure, educational and training programs, and resources for training; coordinate with Faculties and Departments to newly develop, review, and update annual training programs.
- Preside and coordinate with relevant units to develop and submit to the Rector for promulgation of training management documents.
- Unify the name and framework of the training program, major and specialty codes, module codes, and detailed syllabus of all majors, specialties, and modules being trained.
- Manage the academic advisory work of faculties and departments; post-inspection of diplomas and certificates.
- Develop annual enrollment plans and schemes to submit to the Rector for approval; be a permanent unit of the School Admissions Council.
- Perform the processing and storage of students' information on study, exams, and graduation.
- Receive information from the one-stop department and answer questions from students and parents within the functions of the Academic Affairs Department.
- Coordinate with units in the school to perform tasks related to the scope of work and other tasks as assigned by the Rector.
